Solid Wood Terminal Plates come standard on all new production Blumenstein speakers - so if you already have new production speakers on order, then don’t worry - they get outfitted with these snazzy new terminal plates that I offer to my past customers (2006->).

Upgrades to the binding posts of legacy speakers:

The new Solid wood (black walnut) Terminal plates/posts are compatible with any pre-2020 Blumenstein speaker. User installable with basic tools and instructions.

These new terminal plates and binding posts are significantly sturdier and are slightly better sounding, as well as compatible with more types of terminations than the prior plastic posts that used to come standard on my speakers. Those get pryed out with a padded pry bar. If, however, you have metal posts, then they need a deep socket set to remove.

The new solid wood terminal plates/posts get installed into reamed out holes from the prior posts, plus a few new holes for the attachment screws. They are a major electrical (sonic) as well as visual improvement over any of the prior binding posts I’ve offered. Admittedly there is some careful work that needs to be done while installing these, but if you are serious about getting the best audio performance out of your blumenstein speakers, then it’s a worthwhile upgrade to legacy Blumenstein speakers. The wide oval terminal plate is also large enough to cover up any potential diy drilling mistakes. I’ll do my best over the phone to help you get great results on installation day.
